Visionary

Pastors BioJoseph Carlos Robinson is the Founder and Pastor of the Resurrection Church of Los Angeles, Inc. An honors graduate of Morehouse College, Pastor Robinson pursued his theological studies at Harvard Divinity School, received his Master of Business Administratrion degree from the University of Connecticut, and is presently in a doctoral-track program in Historical Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Prior to founding the Resurrection Church, Pastor Robinson served the body of Christ in diverse capacities, as the Executive Pastor of City of Refuge Ministries in Gardena, California, the Executive Director of Noel Jones Ministries, and the Senior Pastor of both St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church and Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in St. Louis, Missouri, and Hartford, Connecticut, respectively.

In addition to his extensive ministerial experiences, Pastor Robinson has a wealth of secular experiece, having worked in the Strategy Consulting and Accounting practices of international firm Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, in the Conferences and Program Development Offices of the National Urban League and its Massachussets affiliate, as a Legislative Assistant for the Honorable Congressman Floyd Flake in the 106th and 107th sessions of the United States Congress, and as an intern at the Dana–Faber Cancer Institute and the Bridge Street Community Development Corporation

Pastor Robinson has preached on three continents and 47 states, been featured in print and television media outlets, and has received numerous awards and honors, including most recently being named by the African American Pulpit Magazine as one of the “Top Ten Preachers Under 40” to watch.

A third generation preacher, Pastor Robinson is the second of three sons born to Reverend Joseph and Mrs. Lizzie Robinson, and the proud father of two sons, Malachi and Caleb.
